NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose on Friday, with the Dow closing in on 13,000 points, as investors welcomed strong earnings from companies such as Google Inc. (GOOG.O: Quote, Profile , Research) and Caterpillar Inc. (CAT.N: Quote, Profile , Research).Higher oil prices, which boosted Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM.N: Quote, Profile , Research), also helped power the rally.
