Kyodo) _ The Dow Jones stock average closed at a new record high on Wednesday in New York, ending above 12,500 for the first time.The Dow Jones Industrial Average of 30 blue-chip issues rose 102.94 points, 0.83 percent, from the previous day to 12,510.57.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index gained 17.71 points, or 0.73 percent, to 2,431.22.
